Italy, Alps near Monte Bianco, 2100 msl, 6th August.
Above tree-line, herb rich seepage near high scree slopes, on Asteraceae.
(Same site as Masistylum arcuatum)
I think this is Clemelis pullata,

Females of Clemelis are hardy distinguishable, in my experience.

Thanks Theo, I'd missed the probability of massilia, know nothing about it! I'd discounted apicalis because of the apicals,

And another species majuscula only known from SW France including the Alps it seems,

At least in Asia, Clemelis can be very local.
I would not be surprised if some of these like majuscula turn up in Italy.
Of course, that by no means this implies this is not pullata.

Get the male, if you please !
