Hello,

today I took only one good picture of this appr. 10 mm Sciomyzidae in Hannover, Germany. As an amateur I think it could be Coremacera fabricii. What does an expert say?

Best regards,

Hans

Hi,

Stéphane Lebrun thinks it could be Euthycera fumigata. Can somebody confirm this?

Best regards,

Hans

It is a female of Euthycera fumigata, no doubt.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol
