This fly was not inside the compost bin but just sitting on the outside. Photographed late in winter, South-eastern Australia. From memory the size was a bit smaller than the lesser house fly. I only concentrated on the eyes this time because he kindly sat still for me.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
