On 2026-08-15 I found a clutch of ova from Dasyhelea in an insect font in my garden and during the metamorphosis could take photos of larvae, pupae, and imagines with exuviae.
Are these Dasyhelea flavifrons?

(Several times the larvae aggregated when they emerged to pupae. Is this common?)

It is sad news. I read him a month ago, as he replied to me about a wrong identification. He was brilliant, as always.
