Have a nice Day. One Question please. Is this a Gonia- Species? Can it be determined more precisely? I would be very grateful for a reply.
Discovery data: Austria, Lower Austria, Tattendorf, 220m, vineyard, 31.10.2025, size 6-8mm

Kind regards Karl.

I am very hesitant to say anything about this fly, but it reminds me of Pseudogonia rufifrons.

Hello piros and Theo thank you for the Answer. If I understood the translation correctly, this is ( cf. Pseudogonia rufifrons).

Kind regards Karl

Hello Theo thank you for the Answer, and that it is definitely Pseudogonia rufifrons. I'll remove the "cf." right away.

Kind regards Karl.

I don't see the issue, cf. fig 140.3 in Cerretti.
Maybe in the key you confused "arista" with "antenna" ?

You’re absolutely right, Tony – I read (Tschorsnig) "antenna" instead of "‘Arista".
Have a nice day
