This small Brachycera was found in a wood close to a wetland just outside Stockholm Sweden beginning of June this year. The "coloring" is very distinct but unfortunately the wings got damaged when i caught it with a net. Is it possible to say what genus it is? - or even what species it can be?

3rd antennal segment elongate, thus apparently not Chlorops. I would consider Metopostigma polonica.

Many thanks Jan for your help and suggestion that I should look at Metopostigma polonica. As far as I know that species has not been recorded here in Sweden before so I will try to find a key to the genus Metopostigma to see if there is a match. Best Regards Ole
