Hello! This was found by Gődény Csaba is Hungary, recently. Am I right, if i got Hybomitra lundbecki female to this one? Third antennal segment is very wide and orange. And the lower spot in the frons is large, blackish and shining. Could you help me please? What do you think about this one?

Thank you! The only thing what I don’t understand is the 1. segment of the antenna. About my key, it has to be conspiciously gray dusted, and the 1. antennal segment is brown. I think in this specimen that segment is rather orange. Could you help me please in this? But I will check it, I have your book “Flied with three pulvilli”.

That is very weird indeed, but I do see an ocellar tubercl3, so Hybomitra (solsttialis) should be OK. Sorry cor the confusion.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
