This fly was swept from grassland within woodland near Oxford, UK, this afternoon. I had initially assumed it was a pallopterid due to the wing patterning and the way it was waving its wings, however I can't seem to find a match to any of the UK species. Any help would be gratefully received, and apologies for the poor photos.
