A distinctive species. Is this the female of Trixa caerulescens (Trixa alpina)?

Later that day I found the same species in a different location.

Yes. Status of alpina is unclear, might very well just be a dark variety of caerulescens.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
