Valery, thank you! I think the fainter wing markings than I had expected threw me off track here.

Apologies for the lousy pictures. I had the camera balanced for the fluorescent desk lamp lighting the microscope but I will try and scrounge up some grey card to see if that helps. Unfortunately pointing a small compact camera down a microscope eyepiece does not produce the sort of useful images I would like.

I use a soapbox 10 mp Nikon for stacking with "much more than fair" results. But I strongly recommend LCD aqrranged in matt bulbs, as powerful as possible (rather than fluo economic lamps) for they have white light and are less harmful for eyes.

Thanks for the advice Valery. I have just looked at some of your pictures, very goodTumbsUp I think I am struggling with lack of light as well as colour temperature.

Just try 2 maximum powerful LCD bulbs (=75 W of a normal bulCool each. Must be enough.
