Unknown Syrphidae, Alphen aan den Rijn, The Netherlands

Today I found this (to me unknown) Syrphidae in Alphen aan den Rijn (The Netherlands) It has a rather small head and a broad abdomen. Does anyone know which species this fly might belong to?

Looks like a stratiomyid to me - not syrphid - someone else here will have a name for it, I am sure Smile

Thanks for the hint. I found it in the Stratiomyid gallery. I think it must be Stratiomys singularior.
