Hi, I'm use to see Rhagio tringarius quite often, but this one looks weird: It's a male, abdomen is with black hairs, sternite 1 is bare and it's big (14mm) but coxae are all really grey. Is it an common variation or am i wrong with the specie? Edited by clovis on 29-06-2014 14:33 |

Do you have dorsal view? Or did you collect it? I have doubts about ID. It should be R. annulatus! Libor |

The humerus is clearly yellow, not grey as in R. annulatus. According to the key http://home.hccne...hagio.html, I'd vote for R. tringarius (the grey coxa 1 is voted out ). |

Hi everyone, sorry for the delay. Well, humerus are really more greyish than my usual tringarius, even if i'm not really doubtful about the specie, it really confused me. |

I need to compare it with my collection for sure, but for 95% I believe my tentative ID as R. annulatus was correct. Libor |

There are more species in the south of France. Could you give locality and date, please ? Theo |
