I can't sort this one out! Swept from Hawthorn in Yorkshire, UK yesterday. Halteres with knob dark. Wholly black, no dusting on parafacials, humeri...just two very slight pale lines pre-sutural on thorax. Thorax and abdomen glossy black, whole face matt black. Thanks for any help

Thank you both, that is spot on. Not one I had seen before and I was using a key for Phaonia that took that out before the key to males started, so a lesson in starting right at the beginning!!
