Hello,

I photographed these flies in Bazzano (AQ), Italy on April 18th 2021. I think they are Ephydridae (maybe genus Limnellia?), but is it possible to identify their species from these photos?

A pair of Limnellia quadrata - the two darker spots "hanging off" the central wing vein is distinctive
