Sorry about the poor picture quality. Found in a lush mountain valley - southern Norway in July 2017. About 11 mm. Morten A Mjelde attached the following image: [295.6Kb] Edited by Morten A Mjelde on 01-03-2020 14:34 |

Yes. I have no idea if you have the mountain species like suspecta. If not, it is connivens. The vertex seems a bit broad for the male of this species. Theo |

Thank you very much! In Norway, it seems that only Panzeria (Ernestia) rudis has been found. In Sweden there are a few more species in the genus Panzeria - but not P. suspecta or P. connivens. Rosevinge |

Oops… We do not have E. suspecta but E. connivens. So according to you, I call it Eurithia connivens. Rosevinge |

Yes, our Nearctic collegues have lumped several genera. Given the Asian / Siberian fauna, I am not yet convinced (and I am more a lumper, traditionally). Anyways, it is a matter of opinion. I think we all consider Eurithia, Appendicia, Fausta and Panzeria s.s. to be monophyletic. Theo Edited by Zeegers on 01-03-2020 20:11 |
