Hello everybody,

this should now be a tachinid species, but which one? Maybe Dexiosoma caninum?

Location: Germany, Rhineland-Palatinum, 53572 Unkel, river Rhine valley, Stux hill, dry and warm habitat (grapeyards), 15. 06. 2016

Thanks in advance,

Michael

Not Dexiosoma. European Megaprosopini have a more sharply bent M vein.

Maybe Leskiini.

To me, it looks like Solieria sp.

Thank you, Theo, and all the others, who contributed something for identification.

That´s already then second time I mistake a Soliera sp. for a Tachinid fly.

Greetings from the Stux hill,

Michael

Solieria is in family Tachinidae, even the same subfamily as Dexiosoma.

Hello John,

In search of information about this species I have just noticed that, too. Nevertheless, thank you for correcting my mistake.

Greetings from the Stux hill,

Michael
