It is possible to determine the genus?
This specimen is from a desert area in the north of Chile ..

Possibly
Gonia pallens Wiedemann. It is not
crassicornis or
lineata.
I do not have modern literature for South America. I found this species in Aldrich's 1934 review of temperate South American Tachinidae. It is widespread to the north as well. If you have the regional catalog you can check if more species have been described:

Recorded hosts of
Gonia pallens are in Noctuidae. The hosts are not closely related and it may be a generalist parasitoid of larger Noctuidae. Or it may be a cryptic complex of specialist species.
