Hello,

I need help to ID this Bombyliidae, I think genus Geron, I don't know if is possible to say more ...

I think Geron (Geron). In America species can not be identified further from photos, unless there is only one species of the group in the area where the photo was taken.

Hi John,

here we have (by Fauna Italia):

Geron albidulus (Francois, 1969) (S)
Geron gibbosus (Oliver, 1789) (S, Si)
Geron halteralis (Wiedemann in Meigen, 1820) (N, S)
Geron intonsus (Bezzi, 1925) (N, S, Si)

S = South
Si = Sicily
N = North

If the checklist is correct it could be G. intonsus or G. halteralis.
