I could not collect there.

I also noticed the small spots.

The hairs on the frons are pale, when the frons should be "grayish to brown pruinose with black hairs" according to Teskey (1990). And my fly has three small, black spots pretending to be ocelli. Compare the photo on BugGuide identified by John Burger, http://bugguide.n...59/bgimage. But I don't see any other options. Teskey says the subcallus can be bare.
