Hi,

Here is an Atylotus from Jura (France) caught this summer (but antenna lost)
Eyes are naked (to my eyes) and i don't see any hairs on vertex, so i would propose A rusticus for this female.

That is what one would expect.
However, the abdominal pattern is more like latistriatus and the eyes seem to be hairy....
So either rusticus or latistriatus to me.

You're right, i didn't notice that on those picture hairs seems really hairy! But under binocular i'm absolutely not able to see any hair. The specimen suffered a bit from killing and traveling, so maybe hairs are sticks on eyes and i can't see them?
Anyway, between those 2 species, callus is different, so can we be sure of the specie with this picture?
Looking at the callus, i'd go on rusticus.

This is rusticus indeed.

Note that all features mentioned in literature, such as shape of calli, are unreliable.
