Hello, this picture was taken on June, 22. The fly is sitting on a landing on Kyritz lake, Brandenburg, Germany. It is appr. 4 - 5 mm long.

Has anyone an idea?

Thank you in advance!

Hans

Hilara male -- swolen fore basitarsus and I think I see the forked R4+5, though it is faint.

Hilara tenella. Only two largely yellow species in that part of the world. This the one with greyish tomentum on the scutuum and slightly swollen fore metatarsus.
