Do you have any other pic showing better wing venation? I need to known if anal cell (between two weins in red color) is open (Rhagio) or closed (Chrysopilus).

Thank you very much, Libor!

"... 4.a. Wing: anal cell closed -> 5
5.b. Length more than 5 mm; arista more than twice the length of the antenna -> Chrysopilus"

With this generation, understand, and who will help to form? If possible.

Regards
Vladimir.

That is I am a little confused. Anal cell closed = Chrysopilus asiliformis. Nut, your animal looks like Rhagio lineola...

PS: Please, collect some Rhagionidae from your region and send them to me. You will get names to your pictures and my museum the material.

Cannot be this species. Its old name was "aureus" which in latin means "golden" as its dorsal thorax-abdomen appear.

The Nearctic key to genera does not use the wing, but notes that Rhagio has two apical spurs on the hind tibia and Chrysopilus only one.

Although the imported R. tringarius has the cell broadly open, some of our native species of Rhagio have the cell closed at or near wing margin.
