hi flyforum,

These kind of flies visits our house and fly some cirkels in the living room.
I catched some of them and took a picture.
Some Muscidae?

size: 6-7mm
place: Amsterdam
date: 29-05-2009

Male Fannia canicularis. Look at the typical wing venation Sc, A1 / A2, and flattened abdomen. And typical behaviour in your living room ! :D

Thank you Stephane, my first opinion was Fannia but I thougt the 'Sc-curve' had to be some stronger. In The Netherlands they are called ''little houseflies''..
