As there are only inconspicuous dark marks on the wing edges and the head is not dark, I'd vote for the common
E. briggsi. If it is a female, however, E. meridionalis would also be an option (that species is obligatorily parthenogenetic). The British key

https://faunedefr...8re%20.pdf). In several cases only the genitals are decisive, though.

Thanks, very helpful! Until now, the only
Ectopsocus I found was
E. petersi, which is very common here.
Unfortunately, even under magnification I cannot figure out the sex of the specimen, the end of the abdomen is very black, and I am not even sure if the last segment is retracted.
