I found this Asilidae in the little village of Salbertrand in Susa Valley, Piedmont (Italy) at 1000 mt above sea level, on June 25th.
Is it a Machimus?

Thanks for the additional photo's. Could you make a close-up (crop at high resolution) of the tip of the abdomen of the last picture? Dysmachus fuscipennis is an option too
