Hello,
I found the fly (about 8 mm) on 27 September 2015 in the northeast of Bavaria/ Germany on a dead mole.
Is it possible to identify the fly?

Best regards
Thomas

Similar to Neoleria inscripta in the gallery. The outward-pointing frontal bristles rule out many genera.

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
