There are many yellow Lauxaniids, and I am afraid we need more views from different angles, a top view of the thorax showing the arrangement of the bristles is also necessary. I struggled with Meiosimyza myself (http://www.dipter...d_id=42117, and if you use the Forum Search you will find other interesting threads about this genus. However, if one has a deeper look into Shatalkin's Lauxaniidae key (2000), given in http://www.landes...1-0080.pdf, the difficulties in determination become obvious. Many characters cannot be shown by a photo. Let us see if our Lauxaniidae experts are able to say more... Regards, Sundew |
