That is not a Syrphid (otherwise it would be in the wrong forum), it is a Conopid, a male Conops. According to the key http://home.hccne...enera.html I would vote for C. quadrifasciatus or, perhaps, C. ceriaeformis. In the first picture there seems to be a dark ring on the hind femora, but if it is just a shadow (the middle femora seem to lack it), the first name would be appropriate. Regards, Sundew |
