I am having no luck trying to determine this Drosophilid. To me it looks like Drosophila is that right?

Where am I going wrong? What genus is it?

About 3mm length. Collected in damp woodland valley. UK. One ventral branch on arista, just before terminal fork.

Looks drosophilid allright but these two images are not sufficient for me to tell anything more.

Hi Paul,
Thanks for your response. They are hard these little Drosophilids! "I have parked it" to look at another day. I am failing to get better images than these, so I think I must leave it for now.

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
