orange larva 2015-03-28 => Cecidomyidae?

Hi,

can someone identify this larva or at least its family?

Length about 3 mm.

2015-03-28, Germany, Schleswig-Holstein, Mohrkirch, in a woodpile near a hedgerow.

I think this would be a Cecidomyidae, not entirely sure though.

That's interesting - I didn't know there are species of Cecidomyidae which don't live in galls, but now I read about that. Thanks for your answer!

Tried to attach an image to a forum post. jpg, 32kB, 72dpi, no blanks, ... File name is correctly displayed, but when I click "Preview Thread" it just vanishes. Help!
