thanks John, you mean like Norellisoma or Megaphthalma? the overall appearance of the torax was more "round and thick" than I see most of the scathophaga toraxes. But why not I will change the search-title |

checked again the scathophaga images and it could indeed be S.scybalaria or S. inquinita...I missed those the first time. found another specimen yesterday for some better images. bums attached the following image: [184.04Kb] |
