I have tried to key this out but I keep hitting a dead end because I don't have a clear view of the wings. I have it narrowed down to a few empis species with E.Tessellata being one of the most likely. The flight season (mid August) and location (Cork, Ireland) add up more so then the other candidates. Very bristly legs Large size Eyes almost meeting at frons I would love confirmation/correction (be kind, its an early attempt). Thanks in advance for any help given. leonvdn attached the following image: [50.94Kb] Edited by leonvdn on 27-08-2014 10:23 |
