Ochthera sp. (Ephydridae) Location: Gardens of the Simón Bolívar University campus, Caracas, Venezuela. 1220 m.a.s.l. Date: 25-vi-2014 Collection method: Sweep sample. If possible, I would like to know the species. I have yet to pin the specimen, and will gladly upload additional views of specific structures if needed. Thanks in advance, D |

If the specimen is in alcohol, could you get a ventral shot of the sternites, then dry the specimen and get a shot of the face from directly in front? It's a female, so the sternite shapes and the facial pattern are the only features we can use without dissection.
