Hello,
I found the fly (about 12 mm) on 19 July 2014 in the northeast of Bavaria/ Germany.
I suppose, it`s a Nowickia ferox, or isn`t it possible to determine the fly?

Best regards
Thomas

Some flies preserved in ethanol and then pinned often get the eyes sunken, how can this be avoided? Best answer: I usually keep alcohol-collected material in alcohol

Yes, dipterologists from far abroad, please buy your copy at veldshop. Stamps will be expensive, but he, the book is unreasonably cheap Smile
