followed Manual of Nearctic Diptera to Chironomini but am unsure re antepronotal lobes: are they the left&right triangles that each occupy 1/3 the width of the vertical green ridge? If so, since terminalia is broad with short setae, I should have Xenochironomus...

John - Your specimen is a female, and won't easily key out using the Nearctic Manual. You need to find a male specimen (with bushy antennae) and then have a go, but they can be difficult without high magnification.
