Taken in beech forest in N Burgos Province on the 09 June 2012. Rather peculiar furry front femora. Any ideas? Thanks a lot for any help!

Thanks a bunch, Paul!! ![]() Is it the female? Sorry, my knowledge of Scathophagidae is nearly nule and I only know the male of Scathophaga stercoraria which looks very different to me ![]() |

The species is highly variable. I cannot really say whether this is male or female.
