By all accounts this should be Brachystoma but as far as I know both European species have a black mesonotum. I hope you collected it (fearing the answer will be 'no'Wink.

Some unclearness: where Brachystomatidae fits ?

I had:
Diptera - Brachycera - Hybotidae
now:
Diptera - Brachycera - Asilomorpha - Empididae - Brachystoma (by PESI database)

PESI,ITIS db are not aware of Brachystomatidae , neither its synonims as listed here:
